Rio SC in Albuquerque , NM invites you to participate in the 2012 Sandia Cup.  This year’s tournament will be held May 26-28 at the Soccer Complex in Bernalillo , NM , home of the 2010 US Youth Soccer Far West Region Championship.  With beautiful grass fields and over 300 days of sunshine a year, (Still no games cancelled due to weather!) the Sandia Cup provides top-notch competition at an ideal venue for teams of all levels. Sandia Cup has been a Premier NM Youth Soccer Tournament since 1992.

Divisions/Format/Entry Fees:

  • U7/U8 4v4 40 min. games $200
  • U9/U10 6v6 40 min. games $350
  • U10 8v8 40 min. games $350
  • U11/U12 8v8 50 min. games $400
  • U12 11v11 50 min. games $450
  • U13/U14 11v11 60 min. games $450
  • U15/U19 11v11 70 min. games $450

Roster size: 8 for U7/U8, 10 for U9/U10, 14 for U10/U11/U12 (8v8), 18 for U12 (11v11) and 18 for U13/U19.

Gold and silver brackets where needed, with a 4 game minimum. Up to 5 guest players allowed.
 
Genuine Indian pottery trophies for champions. Awards for 1st and 2nd place teams.
 
Application process:

  • Registration Deadline is May 4, 2012. Complete applications received after the entry deadline accepted on a space-available basis.
  • All Registration Fees charged upon receipt. Teams will be notified by E-mail of acceptance within 2 weeks of receipt of Registration Fees and no later than May 11th, 2012. Refunds will not be given after a team is accepted. Any teams not accepted will receive a full refund.
  • Any application submitted without appropriate fee is incomplete and will not be considered until the fee is received

Tournament Hotels:
Rio SC is proud to have The Sheraton Albuquerque Uptown Hotel as our Tournament Headquarter hotel for 2012 Sandia Cup. We recommend you reserve your room early at 2012 Tournament Headquarter Hotel or by calling 1-800-325-3535 [Call: 1-800-325-3535] and ask for the "Sandia Cup Rate" to ensure you are able to take advantage of the special $89 tournament rate. Tournament check in for the tournament will be held May 25 at The Sheraton Albuquerque Uptown.

While we recommend you stay at the Tournament Headquarter hotel, we understand teams have varied needs and have partnered with several other ALBUQUERQUE and RIO RANCHO hotels to offer teams great rates by asking for the "Sandia Cup Rates". Teams are free to choose the lodging of their choice, however, part of the check in process for teams traveling will include providing hotel information and number of rooms the team is utilizing at the area hotels. A form to provide this information will be provided as the tournament gets closer.
